ALOHA ON THE ROCKS AT 0 YEARS OLD

In November of 2006, Aloha On The Rocks made its debut at an awards ceremony for the top business executives in Hawaii known as the “Black Book”. 250 people were in attendance.

At first, Shaun Henderson, owner and manager of Aloha on The Rocks, was dividing his time between his new bartending business and his existing successful freelance architectural drafting business, Drafting Oahu. Providing architects with technical drawings for permit and construction purposes was Shaun’s day job, and Aloha On The Rocks was his night job. However, the allure of growing Aloha On The Rocks captured Shaun’s interest and began to monopolize his time. Eventually, Shaun contacted his client base from Drafting Oahu and informed them that he was out of the architecture business. Shaun finished up his architecture projects and hung up his T-Square, so to speak. Shaun was now able to devote 100% of his time to growing Aloha On The Rocks.

Quitting a lucrative job in architecture to manage a mobile bar business upstart?! Are you crazy? You would be excused for thinking that since Shaun himself had similar thoughts. But Shaun was beginning to grow weary of “drawing straight lines” and staring at a computer all day. The transition was difficult at first, but ultimately the additional time that was now available to devote to Shaun’s “night job” proved to be necessary for making Aloha On The Rocks was it is today – Hawaii’s First and BEST Professional Bartending Business.

ALOHA ON THE ROCKS AT 5 YEARS OLD

The first five years have been wonderful. Shaun has met so many terrific people in Hawaii’s wedding and event industry and has had the opportunity to tend bar at Oahu’s most beautiful locations. Shaun’s goals for the next five years are to maintain the reputation of his Aloha On The Rocks while continuing to improve and expand his company in every aspect.

Lots of exciting things have happened since I started Aloha On The Rocks, but nothing as exciting as getting married!
